The short version: your booking is a request confirmed by email — nothing is charged online, and payment is arranged with you at confirmation; every driver needs a valid licence, shown physically, and must be 18; the guide’s word on safety is final; and if the weather cancels the ride, it costs you nothing. The details are below, in plain English.
What your booking includes
Self-Drive Buggy Tour: a brand-new fully automatic Can-Am Maverick (2- or 4-seater, up to 4 people per machine), a lead guide for the whole convoy, helmets, a pre-departure safety briefing, fuel and the viewpoint stops. Not included: transport to the meeting point — tours start at the upper cable-car station on Mount Srđ (see how to find us) — and the cable-car fare if you choose to arrive that way.
Private tours (2 h and 3 h): your guide drives; the vehicle, helmets, hotel or apartment pickup in Dubrovnik and all photo stops are included, for up to 3 guests per booking. The 3-hour tour adds a 30-minute self-drive segment and bottled water.
Prices and payment
Self-drive pricing is per person, tiered: one adult riding alone pays €50 and gets a 2-seater to themselves; with two or more adults the rate is €40 per adult; children aged 5–11 ride as passengers for €20 each. Anyone 12 or older counts and pays as an adult. Private tours are priced per vehicle — €290 for 2 hours, €330 for 3 hours, max 3 guests.
Booking on this site sends a request — nothing is charged online. Paula confirms availability and your departure by email, usually within the hour during working hours, and payment is arranged with you directly at that confirmation. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before departure — the full rules, including what applies to anything prepaid by arrangement, are in the cancellation policy. Larger groups than the forms allow are quoted individually and confirmed in writing.
Who may drive
- Drivers must hold a valid driving licence and present it physically at check-in. No licence shown, no drive — a photo on your phone is not enough. Part of the route runs on a public road, so normal traffic rules apply throughout.
- Drivers must be 18 or older.
- Each buggy needs one licensed adult driver; up to 4 people share a machine, and a departure runs at most 5 buggies.
- On the 3-hour private tour, the self-drive segment follows the same licence rule; without a licence you ride that part as a passenger.
Children and passengers
Passengers need no licence. Children may join from age five: ages 5–11 ride as passengers only, seated with an adult, and anyone under 5 cannot take part — no exceptions, the harnesses aren’t built for them. From age 12 up, guests count as adults for pricing and seating, though only licensed 18+ guests may drive.
The safety briefing is binding
Every departure starts with a briefing covering the machine, convoy spacing, hand signals and the route. By joining the ride you agree to follow it: stay behind the lead guide, keep the stated distance to the buggy in front, stay on the marked track and the road line the guide takes, and keep helmets on whenever the engine is running. The guide may stop or end the ride of anyone who repeatedly ignores instructions — without a refund — because one careless driver puts the whole convoy at risk.
Sober driving
We have the right to refuse the wheel to any driver we judge to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, at check-in or at any point during the ride. This is treated as a no-show: no refund is due. A passenger seat is usually still possible if another licensed adult in your group takes the wheel.
Damage
The buggies are working machines and normal trail wear is on us. Damage caused by ignoring the briefing — leaving the track, ramming, rolling a machine while racing — is the driver’s responsibility. A security hold may be pre-authorised on a payment card at check-in and is released untouched after the ride if the buggy comes back as it left. The amount and conditions are stated before any pre-authorisation is made.
Weather
The ridge is exposed, and we don’t ride in dangerous conditions. Light rain doesn’t stop a tour. If extreme weather or lightning makes the route unsafe, we cancel the departure — and you choose between a free rebooking and a full refund of anything you’ve prepaid. The safety call is ours and it never costs you anything. Full rules are in the cancellation policy.
Your responsibilities
- Self-drive guests: arrive at the upper cable-car station on Mount Srđ (next to the Panorama restaurant) 15 minutes before departure for check-in and the briefing. Private-tour guests: be ready at your pickup address at the agreed time.
- Bring the driving licence for every person who will drive — and have your confirmation email handy, which sets out your departure and the payment arrangement agreed with us.
- Wear closed shoes; dress for dust and sun.
- Children ride as passengers only, with a parent or guardian in the group.
Liability
We operate as a registered Croatian company and carry the insurance Croatian law requires for this activity. Our liability is limited to what Croatian law provides; personal belongings carried on the buggy remain your responsibility — bring a strap for the GoPro.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Croatian law. Any dispute we can’t resolve together falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubrovnik.
